1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website or use an app. They help sites remember your preferences, keep you signed in, understand how you use the service, and improve security. We also use similar technologies (e.g. local storage, pixels) where relevant. This policy covers our use of cookies and these technologies across the Ordafy platform on ordafy.com and business.ordafy.com (Ordafy shop, Business tools, Pay by Link, and POS).
2. Types of cookies we use
- Strictly necessary: Required for the site or app to function (e.g. authentication, security, load balancing). These cannot be disabled if you want to use the service.
- Functional: Remember your choices (e.g. language, region) and improve experience. You can usually disable these in your browser or in-product settings, but some features may not work as intended.
- Analytics: Help us understand how visitors use our services (e.g. pages viewed, flows). We use this to improve our products. Data may be anonymised or aggregated.
- Marketing (where used): Used to deliver or measure relevant ads and campaigns. We only use these where we have your consent or where permitted by law. You can manage preferences via cookie banners or settings.
3. How we use cookies on the platform
Across Ordafy we use cookies to: keep you signed in across products where single sign-on is enabled; remember your preferences; protect against fraud and abuse; measure and improve performance; and, where you have agreed, for marketing. Session cookies are deleted when you close the browser; persistent cookies remain for a set period or until you delete them. Third-party cookies (e.g. from payment or analytics providers) are used in line with our Privacy Policy and only where necessary or with consent. Card payments are processed by Stripe (see our Payments & payouts page); Stripe may set cookies or use similar technologies on its own domains when you pay.
4. Checkout & Stripe (Pay by Link, Shop, POS)
When you pay with a card, Stripe may set strictly necessary or fraud-prevention cookies and use similar technologies on checkout.stripe.com and related domains. Merchant dashboards that load Stripe Connect onboarding may also interact with Stripe-controlled pages. We do not control Stripe's cookie names or lifetimes; see Stripe's cookie and privacy notices for detail. Section 3 above still applies to cookies we set on ordafy.com and business.ordafy.com.
5. Managing or disabling cookies
You can control cookies via your browser settings (e.g. block all cookies, or delete them after each session). Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from using parts of our services. Where we offer a cookie preference centre or banner, use it to manage optional categories.
