Stripe Connect payout setup in Ordafy

Ordafy uses Stripe Connect so card payments from Business, POS, Pay, and Ordafy Shop are paid to your payout account. Setup verifies your organisation and bank details — a regulatory requirement before card checkout goes live.

Why Ordafy requires payout setup

• Get paid for card sales — balances and bank payouts appear on the Payouts page after setup.
• Accept cards everywhere — checkout, Tap to Pay, and payment links stay disabled until setup completes.
• Appear on Ordafy Shop — marketplace listings stay hidden until payout setup is finished.
• Protect your business — verified accounts reduce fraud and support faster dispute handling.

Cash and bank-transfer payments can still be recorded before setup is complete.

Embedded onboarding — you stay in Ordafy

Payout setup runs inside Ordafy Business (web) and in the mobile app when you open payout setup. Stripe renders secure fields in our page — you are not sent to a separate Stripe dashboard to get started.

1. Open Business → Payouts.
2. Choose Start payout setup or Continue payout setup.
3. Complete the form (business details, representative, bank account).
4. Return to Payouts when Stripe confirms your account is ready.

Information you will provide

• Business profile — legal name, address, industry, and website if you have one.
• Account representative — name, date of birth, and identity verification for the owner or director.
• Payout bank account — account where Stripe sends card sales.
• Tax and compliance — as required for your country (Stripe collects this in the form).

Verification and timing

Most organisations finish in one sitting. Stripe may request:

• SMS or email verification
• Government ID upload
• Additional documents for certain business types

If you pause midway, use Continue payout setup on the Payouts page — progress is saved.

Who can complete setup

Team members with billing or financial manage permissions can start and finish onboarding. Others see a message that an admin must complete setup first.

After approval

• The full Payouts dashboard unlocks — balance, schedule, and bank transfers.
• Card checkout, Tap to Pay, and Pay links become available (subject to your plan and device).
• Eligible listings can appear on Ordafy Shop.

Troubleshooting

• Stuck on Payouts gate? Refresh the page after finishing the form; ensure all required fields show complete in the flow.
• Verification pending? Wait for Stripe to review documents — you can still record cash and bank payments.
• Need help? Contact Ordafy support with your organisation name and a screenshot of any Stripe error message.
